(Notice: This site now accepts Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), such as chemicals, pesticides, acids, oil-based paints, etc., on the third Saturday of each quarter from 11am-1pm only.  Collection dates in 2012 are: Sat. Apr. 21, July 21, and Oct. 20. Effective immediately SISWD Recycling Centers are no longer accepting any oil-based paints and stains except on designated HHW collection days.In addition, any unlabeled/unidentifiable items or latex paints will no longer be accepted.

Residents may drop off medical waste, such as syringes or unused medicines at any of three pharmacies in Scott County: Medical Arts Pharmacy, Hancock's Pharmacy, or Austin Pharmacy. Controlled and non-controlled medications may be dropped off at the Scott Co. Sheriff's Office 24 hours a day/7 days a week at no charge.

Medical waste may be dropped off at Hancock Pharmacy, Medical Arts Pharmacy and Austin Pharmacy.  Unused narcotic medicines should be taken to the Scott County Sheriff's Department 24/7.

 

Household Hazardous Waste:

Special collection days are held the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11am-1pm.

Scott Co. Tire -Sat. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Reuse Center Shopping hours:

Mon-Fri 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. & Sat. 9 a.m. to noon

Please bring your unwanted but still good items to the Reuse Center.

Items such as

-Items are free for the taking by people who need them, even if you don't.
-You might find something you need while you are there.
-The center provides an alternative way for items to be 'recycled.'
-Bring something in - take something out! Free!
-Items from the center are not to be resold through any means including yard sales, consignment shops, and/or Ebay as examples.
-Please do not abuse the generosity of others.
-Please do not bring junk or upholstered furniture.
