(Notice: this site accepts household hazardous wastes, such as pesticides, chemicals, household cleaners, etc., on the second Saturday of each quarter from10 a.m. to 11 am. only.  The next collection day is Saturday, October 9, 2010)

Residents may dispose of medical waste, such as syringes and unused medicines, at the Ripley County Health Department.  Controlled substances (narcotics) must be dropped off at the Ripley County Sheriff's Department.

• Mixed paper,including junk mail and paperboard
• Newspapers and Magazines (please separate and keep dry)

• Glass food and beverage containers
• Aluminum/steel cans

• Computers and monitors (limit 2)
• Stereos, DVD players, phones, etc.
• Televisions (limit 2) 19� and smaller: $5 larger than 19�: $10

Must not be cracked, cells must be capped.

Used Tires

 

• Auto/pickup (limit 10) $1 off rim, $2 on rim
• Tractor (limit 4) Front tire: $3 Rear tire: $10
• Semi-Truck tires (limit 4) $5 off rim $10 on rim

 

 

Ripley County Re-Use Center

 

• Smoke-Free Facility
• No Food or Drink
• Children must be attended at all times
• This facility is provided for the citizens of Ripley County to share/swap/exchange items that are in good condition//working order.

 

Please help us by following these simple rules:

• Leave reusable items only. No trash, bro-ken, stained, dirty or ripped items.
• Shopping is limited to one time per week
• Limit shopping time to 20 minutes - No loitering
• Items taken are not to be sold
• Limit of 4 items per person, except clothing
• Limit of 5 books
• Please show attendant items that you in-tend to leave on site
• The attendant has the right to distribute items at his/her discretion
• Please help keep clothing neatly folded or hung.

 

Please respect the generosity of others. Take only what you need.

• Dirty or ripped clothing
• Underwear or hats
• Upholstered furniture
• Mattresses or bedding
• Old paints that have been frozen, dried, thinned or contaminated
• Books with mold/mildew Books with missing covers or pages Items that are potentially hazardous because of flaws or faults.
